Ingredients

3 apples
400 g frozen puff pastry
50 g butter
5 cl of calvados
50 g sugar
1 egg
50 g flour for the work surface
100 g of apricot marmalade

Instructions

1.Wash the apples. Cut them in half and carefully remove the seeds.
2.Melt the butter in a pan. Add the sugar, stir and when the mixture starts to caramelize, add the apples. Let them cook for 5 minutes over low heat, turning them once or twice to coat them well. Sprinkle with calvados and flambé off the heat. Remove the apples and set them aside.
3.Preheat the oven to 210°C. Flour the work surface. Roll out the puff pastry and cut out six 8 cm squares. Cut out 12 small sheets from the remaining dough and glue two of them with a little water on one corner of each square.
4.Lightly moisten an ungreased baking sheet and place the puff pastry on it. Beat the egg with a fork and brush the pastry squares with it. Lightly press an apple half into the middle of each puff pastry and bake in the oven, and bake for 15 minutes.
5.Melt the apricot marmalade with a tablespoon of water over low heat. As soon as you take the puff pastries out of the oven, brush them with the apricot with the apricot marmalade and present them warm.
